The Cello Sonata, a masterpiece of the great Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943) was composed in 1901 and dedicated to the legendary Russian cellist Anatoly Brandukov (1856-1930). This publication is unique to some extent, since it contains a facsimile of the edition of the cello part realized by Russian cellist Daniil Shafran (1923-1997).
