The Schike large shank trombone mouthpiece is among the most popular, well-reviewed mouthpieces in the world. They fit commonly into what are sometimes called symphony tenors, that is to say horns with a .547" bore. These are also common in the band world, and are the most common size among orchestral players. Some jazzers use a big horn too. Bass bones, .560" bore like a Bach 50, accept large shank mouthpieces as well.
One of Schilke's most popular, this mouthpiece offers a very large "D" cup and is excellent for the strong player. It is particularly suited for the Euphonium, producing a full dark tone.
