The Cracovia, from Poland, is a workshop instrument, every plate of which is graduated to a specific tone.  It produces a remarkably beautiful tone with surprisingly little effort, and is absolutely ideal for the intermediate player.  The Cracovia model viola is available from JR in sizes from 15"-17".  The 16" model that we have been stocking produces a big, well-defined tone, and should be suitable for most players.
