This workshop instrument is based on a Guarneri design, breaking a bit from the current Montagnana, Stradivari and Amati designs.  In their book, The Violin Makers of the Guarneri Family, William E. Hill and Sons reported that they knew of only fourteen Violoncellos from the hand of Andreas Guarneri, but this model, made from finest aged Carpatian maple and spruce in a workshop in Romania is winner.  Superb European craftsmanship, careful gradations and a beautiful German spirit varnish are combined to give you a European alternative to compete with nearly any other instrument in this price point.
